It was a big day at Echuca Basketball Stadium on Friday, October 17 as 57 games of basketball were played by schools across Campaspe Shire.

Eleven schools from Echuca, Rochester and Kyabram were in action all day across two girls’ divisions and two boys’ pools.
Moama Anglican Grammar, Echuca Primary School, Rochester Primary School, St Mary’s Primary School, Twin Rivers Primary School, Echuca East Primary School, Lockington Consolidated School, Tongala Primary School, St Augustine’s College Kyabram, St Joseph’s Rochester and St Patrick’s Primary School Tongala all had teams active on the day.

Echuca Primary School topped the boys’ pool A while St Mary’s Primary School finished ahead of the rest in pool B.
The two sides faced off in a tight grand final, with Echuca taking the chocolates 20-19.

It was a similar situation in the girls’ division, as Echuca Primary School won pool A while St Mary’s took out pool B.
However, the script was flipped in the grand final as St Mary’s won it all 10-8.

Echuca Primary School will represent the Campaspe division in the boys’ competition, while St Mary’s will represent the girls at Swan Hill on Friday, October 31.
