Adam Nunn with 67, a half century by Dylan Cunningham and 30 from opener Alex Williams helped Tongala reach 7/196 off its 40 overs.
In reply Stanhope was bowled out for 127 with Luke Twynstra top scoring with 29 and opener Matt Evans with 24 giving most support.
Rushworth opened the season with a six-wicket win over Northerners.
Harley Taylor-Lloyd (48), Hamish Roberts (35 not out) and opener Tom Stevens (38) were able to cover Northerners’ score of 146 with six wickets in hand.
Elmore scrambled to a win against Colbinabbin in the battle of the new teams at Elmore.
Colbo posted 113 thanks to a half century from Liam Ringin while Tylor Oliver did most damage with the ball for Elmore with 4-20 off his eight overs.
Oliver also top scored with 21 for Elmore as it edged to victory with only one wicket in hand.
Nondies Cohuna won a low-scoring clash with Leitchville-Gunbower with three-wicket hauls to Leigh Johnson, Peter Taylor and Mitchell Treacy proving the difference.
Lockington Bamawm had the better of Rochester in the remaining game.
The only game not played due to the wet conditions in this grade was the Cooma-Echuca South clash
C-GRADE
Fire Brigade’s Steve George with 5-7 off eight overs rocked Tongala, out for just 37 in 24.5 overs.
In reply Brigade openers Brodie Boal-Ryan (27 not out) and Cohan Hooper (12 not out) rounded up Tongala’s score without loss.
Nondies Cohuna had an easy win over Cooma, which could only make 60 in reply to the home team’s 8/153.
Peter Fawcett with 26 was the only Cooma batsman to make it to double figures as NC’s Liam Edge picked up 4-7.
Play was not possible in the other three games.
D-GRADE
In the only game played in this grade Rushworth’s 96 was enough to get it the points against Echuca South.
South was skittled for 73 in 27 overs with Dean Shepherd doing the damage with the ball with 5-13 off 4.3 overs.
