Nondies compiled an impressive 270 runs after winning the toss and batting in its home final at the weekend.
Opener Will Wade and Rhys Bradley with half centuries and Joel Woodhouse with 43 led the Nondies run makers, while Jordan and Clay McGregor both took four wickets for Moama.
But with Sam O’Shea claiming five wickets and Xavier Wishart three Nondies were able to restrict Moama to 224 on Sunday.
Nondies now tackle reigning premier and hot favourite Echuca at Moama for the flag this weekend at Moama.
In it semi-final at Moama Echuca restricted BLU to 131 with its opener Curtis Townrow showing the way with a dashing 95 with 7 sixes and 4 fours claimed victory in the 31st over.
B-Grade
Stanhope has progressed to the Bill Williams B-grade Shield final with a five runs win over Kyabram Fire Brigade on Saturday.
Defending a modest score of 117, Stanhope was able to dismiss The Flames for 111 in 36.3 overs in the clash at Stanhope.
Fire Brigade edged to 8/112, but lost its last two wickets without any addition to the score to go down in a tense finish.
Openers Craig Emmett (19) and Tom Hepburn (20) got Stanhope away to a solid start and Daryl Harrison with 27 and a handy 17 from Jorge Maxwell allowed Stanhope to struggle to 117 against a keen Brigade attack led by Tristan Watson who claimed 4/23 off eight overs. Rikki Bush was the only other multiple wicket taker for The Flames.
Opener Brett Andison with 19 and Bailey White with 16 were the best contributors with the bat for The Flames against a Craig Emmett Stanhope inspired attack.
Emmett took 5/29 off eight overs to keep a tight rein on the The Flames’ scoring rate.
Stanhope now meets BLU for the flag after the combine had edged out Elmore in a thriller on the second last ball of the game.
C-Grade
Girgarre has won a spot in the final after its bowlers restricted Moama to 9/83 in their semi-final showdown at Girgarre.
Opening bowler Simon Doolan with 3/9 off eight overs and Mark McCready who also bagged three wickets at a cost of only four runs off eight overs kept the brakes on the Moama scoring.
At one stage Girgarre was a wobbly 4/26 in its run chase, but Andrew Medhurst came to the rescue with a match-winning 36 off 41 deliveries. Opener Lee Kempinski was the next highest contributor with 15.
Girgarre now meets Echuca for the flag after Echuca had scored a nail-biting semi-final win over Stanhope at Cooma.
Justin Garcia with 37, including three sixes and one four, and Lee Rowlands with 20 did best with the bat for Stanhope who made 9/103.
Garcia and Jack Hepburn with three wickets each kept Stanhope in the game and Echuca’s last two batsmen were at the crease when it clinched a thrilling win with 11 balls to spare.
Girgarre now meets Echuca at Kyabram’s Northern Oval this Saturday for the premiership.
D-Grade
Ben Smith bowled Tongala into the D-grade Peter Raglus Shield final with a deadly burst of 5/10.
Tongala was only defending a moderate score of 9/113 of which Scott McKenzie top scored with 20, but Smith’s heroics with the ball had Echuca all out for just for 51 in 25.4 overs.
Smith got great support from fellow opening bowling partner Zac McKenzie who took 3/12 off four overs.
The win booked a spot in the season decider against Bamawm Lockington United who won a thriller against Girgarre in the other semi-final.
With Aled Denton taking 3/25 and Riley Cowley and Charlie Lowe each claiming two wickets, Girgarre restricted BLU to 9/105.
But Girgarre came up 10 runs short in its run chase with Steve Phillips (25), Charlie Lowe (19) and Kyle Kidd (13 not out) not getting enough support.
Tongala and BLU now meet in the final at Moama’s Brick Alley Oval this Saturday.
