Kyabram Football Club’s list of departing players has grown, with two more key players moving on.
Home-grown product Rhys Clark, a fly-in player from the Gold Coast last season, has returned to play with VFL side Southport, the club he played for two years ago when it made the VFL grand final.

Livewire little man Reuben Rode is also on the move, joining Wallan Football Club, where he lives.
Rode’s electric style of play made him a favourite with Kyabram fans in his only season with the club in 2023.
Clark and Rode join Kyle Mueller, Tom Holman and Nic Denahy who won’t be at the club this season.
Former Richmond player Kayne Pettifer (retired), Toby Wooller and young gun Angus Scoble (Bendigo Pioneers and Tongala) are other players who played senior football with the club last year and will also be missing.
But co-coaches Corey Carver and Kaine Herbert and club president John Guinan are showing immense faith in the relatively young group of players who will fly the flag for the club this season along with tried and proven veterans and multi-premiership players. These include Jason Morgan, Lachie Smith, Liam Ogden and Brad Whitford as well as ruckman Zac Norris and returning Morrison Medallist Mick Mattingly.

Mattingly and recruits Bailey Tome, Jake Torney and Eamonn Ogden are expected to inject more pace into the Kyabram side, which coach Carver has stressed he will be hoping to turn into a running machine.
Sporting shifts in the Reid family

West Coast’s star recruit, Harley Reid, is not the only member of his Tongala sporting family on the move.
The young gun footballer’s sister Hollie is also making a shift — to play netball with Euroa this season.
A mainstay in the rebuilding Kyabram A-grade netball side in recent years, Hollie was targeted by Euroa coach Ellie Warnock as a player who may be able to help her club take the extra step to premiership glory this year.
Euroa went agonising close to winning last year’s flag, beaten by four goals by Echuca.
