Captain Henry Pisasale won the toss and elected to bowl, and the Rhinos showed great energy in the field, claiming three wickets through sharp runouts.
Katamitite’s James Bray was the standout for the visitors, compiling an impressive 43 runs that included three boundaries and a towering six.
Despite their efforts, the Rhinos managed just three wickets across the 20 overs.
Will Crossley and Ben MacDonald each picked up a scalp, while Ned Wettenhall delivered the best figures of the day with 1/3.
Pisasale also bowled tightly, conceding only three runs in his spell.
Chasing 112 for victory, the Rhinos fought hard but fell short, finishing on 92 after 20 overs.
Opener Oli Bull contributed a solid 22, while Pisasale led from the front with a fine 32, featuring two fours and a six.
The young Rhinos will look to bounce back when they face Barooga at home in Deniliquin this Friday.
