Kyabram Knights suffered its first defeat of the season in the Shepparton Junior Soccer League’s Under-14 competition on Saturday.

The team was beaten 3-1 by Shepparton United Blue in the closest fixture of the five games in the competition. In other games Shepparton South won 10-nil and Tatura 11-1, while two other teams failed to score in their defeats.
Dylan Priest was again best on for the team and was strong in defence.
After three rounds the Kyabram team sits sixth on the ladder with a win and a loss, having had an opening-round bye.

Antony De Pasquale kicked the goal from a penalty shot in the first half, when all of the goals were scored.
No-one scored in the second half, with the Kyabram defensive end swinging into action.
Kyabram Knights Black won its Under-12 match 4-0 and three weeks into the five week grading season is sitting second behind the only undefeated team in its section — Shepparton East Falcons.
The Falcons won their match with St Mels 8-nil and set up a blockbuster with the Knights Black combination this weekend.
Kyabram Knights Red won its Under-12 grading match with GV Grammar 5-1 and is now the only unbeaten team in its five-team section.
It has a bye this weekend before facing Tatura White in the final grading week on May 27.
The Under-8 team had their best result for the season, with Liam Parsons kicking two goals, Huxley Cottrell another, along with Jaxon Stewart and Daniel Te.
A lot of the players in the team have graduated into this competition this year.
There are 22 teams involved in the Under-8 grading weeks, which is an indication of just how popular and competitive the age group is in the Shepparton association.
Scores are not kept in the Under-6 to 10 competitions, but clubs are allowed to make note of their goalkickers and celebrate their achievements.
