It’s a role he has shared with star player Kaine Herbert for the last three years.
Kyabram president John Guinan disclosed at the weekend Carver had told the club he was not going to continue as co-coach.
Carver has cited family and work commitments for his decision but said he would stay involved with the club in some capacity.
He said he had really enjoyed his time with the club, which included winning last season’s GVL premiership.
Guinan praised Carver for his professionalism as a coach and as a quality person around the club.
“He has been really popular with his players and has done a magnificent job for our club along with Kaine,” he said.
“His leadership will be missed.”
Guinan said the club was now launching a search to trying and find a suitable replacement for Carver.
“We have one person in mind at the moment and expect to talk to him this week about the position,” he said.
“He is a former star player, and we feel he would be a good fit for our current crop of players.”
