Olivia Cartwright is the state women’s singles bowls champion of Victoria, claiming the title at the Bendigo East club on the weekend.

She beat Dandenong’s Nicole McKenzie 25-10 in the final after beating some quality opposition in three qualifying rounds.
Cartwright was a member of Moama’s Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Premier League team this season and is a regular state representative.
Henry and Charlie Boswood won the state under-18 pairs title after beating Yarrawonga’s Koby Cromie and Kerang’s Kane Wilson 13-6 in the final.
They had earlier beaten Kyabram clubmate Jacob Cartwright and his Cobram partner Luke Dunn 26-1 in the semi-final.
Kyabram was strongly represented, with Josh Carwright losing with Numurkah Golf’s Bayden Parkinson to the Wilson-Cromie combination in the other semi-final.
Josh Cartwright lost in the first round of the finals of the under-18 boys event.
Jorja Ponton from Stanhope lost in the quarter finals to eventual state under-18 champion Amity Bickley.
Ponton had won her two lead up games 21-3 and 21-12, while another Stanhope bowler Hayley Hancock, won her first round match 21-4 before losing in the second round.
