Forty-two teams in ages under-11, under-13 and under-15 from northern Victoria and southern NSW will converge on Northern Oval including from Deniliquin, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Mansfield, Whittlesea and surrounds.
Not only will there be plenty of on-court action to see, there will also be food options aplenty to keep everyone happy.
In terms of drinks, KNA will have coffee vans, Bean There Brew That and Mad About Shakes to provide for your caffeine fix and crowd favourite Boost Juice offering fresh juices.
There will be a barbecue operating for breakfast, with bacon and egg rolls and sausage sandwiches on offer.
KNA’s canteen will be open all day with hot pies and sausage rolls from The Kyabram Bakery, Hot Dogs from Perry’s Butchers, salad wraps from Subway and a lolly stand to keep the player’s energy levels up.
KNA president Kath McIntosh outlined how the event spurs the development of netball in local communities and her pride in how the association facilitates that.
“KNA is the foundation for the key development of young players who filter out to the wider community playing netball long into the future,” she said.
“We are proud of what we offer as KNA and the annual tournament is highly regarded within Victoria, and we look forward to having a wonderful day of competition on Sunday.”
KNA secretary Lauren Parker highlighted her excitement for the event.
“This is a great opportunity for our club to open our doors and show that we’re still an active part of the community, running strong with a great number of members,” she said.
“This weekend marks one of the major events of our year, and we’re going all out — with fantastic raffle prizes and a wonderful atmosphere to celebrate our club spirit.
“Let’s make it one to remember.”
