Hosting the Swans at Lancaster Recreation Reserve, it was a relatively even contest in the first quarter, with a goal and a smattering of behinds giving Lancaster the edge.
Despite major accuracy issues, the sheer number of chances on goal by the Wombats gave them some breathing room, with the host carrying a 30-point lead at the major break.

By the end of the third term, Lancaster had double the amount of behinds to goals for the match (10.20) with a combined 30 scoring chances dwarfing the Swans (6.1).
With the game all but over down the stretch, the Wombats failed to get any more through the sticks, instead settling for another five behinds.

Avenel danced to a similar tune, sending four chances wayward for minimal return to end its day on 6.5 (41).
Lancaster on the other hand, doubled its opposition’s score to finish with 10.25 (85), more than enough despite wayward kicking.
