The weather put an end to Cooma’s clash with Rushworth at Cooma Recreation Reserve.
Liam Scopelliti was looking good for Cooma in the 23.2 overs bowled, sitting pretty with an unbeaten 50 as his side started 3-85 before the game was abandoned.
At Kyabram, Paul Newman lit up the Northern Oval, making one of his typical big scores with 116 not out from 92 deliveries.
Rikki Busch (47) was also good for Fire Brigade, as it set 9-227 against Elmore.
The Redbacks showed little in response, six batters making six as the side was bowled out for only 61.
Oliver Barnett starred with the ball, taking 4-5.
A short-handed Colbinabbin was dismissed for 92 against Echuca and the visitor had enough in the tank to hunt down the runs.
Thomas (4-29) and William Kerr were devastating with the ball for Echuca, with Thomas following up with a team best 32 in the batting innings to get his side home with a wicket to spare.
Stanhope had the bye.
Bill Williams Murray B-grade Shield
Tongala’s top three led the Blues to a 59-run win over Moama.
Andrew Reid top scored with 64 from 65, but the Blues’ middle and lower order faltered to give the Mowers a sniff, Tonny all out for 156.
Oliver Shedden’s 30 at the top of the order led the Moama chase, but Anthony Depasquale’s 4-7 helped Tongala finish off the Mowers for 97.
Openers Thomas Colvin (40) and Casey McNaught (34) did most of the work to get L-G comfortably home.
Kyabram started 5-114 against Echuca South in Cooma, before the match was abandoned for weather.
Gus Underwood C-grade Shield
Rochester skittled Girgarre for 59, before rollicking to the total in 10 overs.
Excellent figures were easy to come by as five players shared the wickets two apiece, led by Glen Moroney (2-5).
There were a couple of missteps in the chase, but Nathan West (23) and Matt Tobin (21 not out from 8) kept Rochy on track as they reached the total four down.
Stanhope were on track for a decent total at 4-148 against Cooma, Kian Verrall looking in good touch with 66 not out, but the match was called off in the 33rd over.
Peter Raglus D-grade Shield
Rushworth cruised by BLU, after dismissing the Lions for 67.
Shannon Scorse tore the BLU batting order to shreds, taking 5-11 in 5.1 overs, and Peter Raglus got the job done with the bat, making 39 not out to see Rushworth home.
Murchison picked up a big win over Kyabram Fire Brigade after setting 5-201 in its batting innings.
Ray Young retired not out with his 50, while openers Daniel Aquilina (47) and Shannon Broadbent (41).
Colbinabbin made a positive 1-60 start to its chase of Echuca’s 5-205, but the match was abandoned before a conclusion.
Girgarre forfeited to Tongala and Stanhope had the bye.
