Dookie United had no surprises for Trent McNamara and his Lancaster reserve grade outfit, the Wombats winning through Saturday’s elimination final at Nagambie — in the third meeting of the teams this year.

McNamara was best afield in the 80-point win for Lancaster, reflective of the round 11 meeting — a 93-point win for the wombats — and of the final home and away round, when Lancaster was a 129-point winner.
Finishing fifth on percentage, behind Shepparton East, the Wombats were 15.15 (105) to 4.1 (25) winners.
They will now spend a weekend on the sidelines preparing for the September 3 game.
Nine second half goals to one stretched a half-time lead of 23 points to the eventual 80 point blow out.
Breaking even: Wombats’ ruckman Samuel Jackson has an equal share of the ball in this centre square bounce.

With five multiple goal-kickers the Wombats had a variety of options in attack.
Steve Phillips, Steve Grime, Jarom Owen-Horn, Matthew James and Jack Ellliott all kicked two goals.
They were offered plenty of opportunities by a dominant midfield, which included Daniel Foley, Robert Salter and Jayson Harrison.
One of few lows was the injury of Tim Strapp in the third term.
Ruckman Samuel Jackson combined regularly with the team’s smalls as the Wombats piled on 30 shots at goal.
Off balance: Defender Caylan Goring is bumped off the ball by Dookie United reserves vice-captain Daniel Bagley.
