Moyle, who recently made her Victorian Premier League debut with Carlton, scored more than half her runs in boundaries.
It was a spectacular start for the Goulburn Murrray’s girls’ teams, both of which collected wins in the opening round of the carnival.
Moyle, playing in the Goulburn Murray’s under-17 girls’ team, smashed 11 boundaries and two sixes in her unbeaten 124. In last year’s carnival she scored another unbeaten century.
Goulburn Murray was sent in after Bendigo won the toss at Bamawm Recreation Reserve and the GM team was immediately in trouble at 3-33.
Moyle and Maisy Byrne then combined for an unbroken 185-run stand to register 3-218 from 40 overs.
Bendigo was not helped by the fact it bowled 11 no balls and 29 wides, the 46 extras contributing strongly to the total.
Byrne finished unbeaten on 38 from her 85 deliveries, with she and Moyle spending more than two hours at the crease for their unbeaten fourth-wicket stand.
In reply, Bendigo was bowled out for 73, Sienna Varcoe’s 3.1-over spell reaping the figures of 3-9.
Delaney Laffy took 1-5 from her six overs, while Lotti Waterson and Marli Hollamby both took one wicket apiece.
• It was a clean sweep for the Goulburn Murray’s girls’ teams as the under-14 team dismissed Gisborne for 82, more than three overs shy of its 40-over allocation.
Then three of its top-order batters retired after scoring 20 runs in a 6-211 tally after 40 allocated overs were completed.
Ava Pell (22), Imogen Kath (21) and Sadie Martin (20) all retired unbeaten as the GM team set up its first victory on the back of a disastrous 80 extras from Gisborne.
• Three of the Goulburn Murray association’s five boys’ teams walked away from the opening round with wins, but face tough opposition in the second round of the carnival.
The under-14, under-16 and under-17 teams all registered wins against Murray Valley, Harrison Keating impressive with his 60 for the under-14 team at Victoria Park.
He batted for almost two hours, facing 91 deliveries, and found the boundary on four occasions (including one six) as the team scored 8-167cc from its 40 overs.
Keating then took 2-1 from his two overs as Murray Valley was bowled out for 128.
At Moama, after winning the toss, Shepparton’s under-15 team batted and was all out for 223 in the 45th over of its match with the Goulburn Murray.
Rhys Drennan and Luke Stone took two wickets each, however their efforts were in vain as the GM team was bundled out for 46 in just 18.4 overs.
At Berrigan, in the under-17 match, Cody Thompson (38) and Tristan Watson (35) shared in an 81-run third-wicket stand to guide GM to 7-163 from its 45 overs.
In reply, Murray Valley was all out for 105, Alex Wagner, Bohden Learmonth, Steve George and Declan Pearce all taking two wickets for GM in the victory.
Goulburn Murray’s under-13 team was brave in its loss to Shepparton, the winning runs coming in the final overs.
Shepparton was, however, only three wickets down when it passed GM’s total of 133. Charlie Connors’ 91-minute stay at the crease and four boundaries in his 37-run total was a highlight, along with an unbeaten 20 from Will Harrison.
Ryan Caldwell took two of the three Shepparton wickets to fall in the match.
