Moyle has had an abundance of cricket to this point of the season, four matches with Echuca in the GMC Under-16 competition, several appearances with Carlton in the Melbourne Premier League and even a match with Echuca’s D-grade team in the GMC.
The undoubted highlight, however, came in the sixth round of the national championships.
Moyle produced a 66-ball unbeaten century for Vic Country in the match against Tasmania at the Canberra carnival.
She scored 27 from 30 deliveries in the opening round, as an opening batter, when the Vic Country team beat NSW with an over to spare in the Twenty-20 format.
The Vic’s lost to Queensland, but beat South Australia in a third Twenty-20 match before moving to the 50-over one-day format. Moyle had modest returns in both those games.
Moyle and her Vic Country teammates scored a massive 4-411 from their 50 overs, Moyle’s unbeaten century including seven boundaries and six sixes in a 72-minute stay at the wicket.
In response, Tasmania was all out for 99 from 25.2 overs.
In the final round yesterday Vic Country was facing top of the table New South Wales Metro, needing a win to guarantee itself a semi-final berth.
