Norris is the final piece in the jigsaw in the Bombers’ bid to win consecutive flags after this season’s triumph.
It is known Norris has been the recruiting target of several clubs which delayed his commitment to stick with the Bombers where he will continue to share the captaincy with Aiden Robinson.
‘‘It’s certainly great news for the club Zac is staying because he is such a vital player for us, ‘’ Bombers co-coach Corey Carver said.
Norris is in the top echelon of ruckmen in the Goulburn Valley League and is GVL representative as well as a premiership player, captain and best-and-fairest player with the club.
His commitment to remain a Bomber comes in the wake of four players – Tom Holman, Liam Ogden, Archie Watt and Nic Jephson – from this season’s premiership side moving to other clubs next season.
So far they have been replaced by former players Rhys Clark, Aaron Hayes, Ruben Rode and also Tongala’s Jack Sinclair, but other players from this season in Zac Cerrone, Sam Vick and Billy McLay are returning to play with Kyabram District League club Lancaster.
Carver said he was happy with the numbers attending six pre-Christmas training sessions and the club would continue to put an emphasis on youth for the 2026 season.
