The idyllic conditions on Tuesday saw a fantastic turnout of 77 players and, on the Blue, Steve Williamson headed a six-way countback on 18 to take the win from Geoff Burgess, Doug Fasoli, Bomber Mitchell, Les ‘the Lens’ Garbutt and Ricky Neilson - with ball prizes going to 16.
On the Red, Neil Loveridge won the day with a solid 18 points with Dave Hall
(16) coming second, and Ribs Reimers and Mike Hope both scoring 15 to come in third and fourth on countback - with ball prizes going to 13.
Thursday’s ‘pot round’ had 66 players vying for the much-desired win, and it was Vic ‘Cat’ Brincat who won the Blue with 30 strokes, leaving Ian Barton, Craig Thurston and Ray Pritchard cussing missed putts as they all scored 32 strokes - with ball prizes going to 35 on countback.
On the Red, Andrew Beattie’s 34 was enough to hold off Stuart Nixon (35) with Gary Tribe coming in third with 36 and Ray Douglas, Dom Fotia and Omar Persaud scoring 38 - with ball prizes going to 41.
