Kyabram Football Netball Club recognised its two most outstanding volunteers of 2023 at the club’s Wilf Cox Community Centre presentation evening on Friday night.

Club secretary Paul Shortis was named Clubperson of the Year, following on from his recognition as the Goulburn Valley league’s administrator of the year and teenage son of club president Archer Guinan was named Young Clubperson of the Year.
He also rated a mention in the farewell speech of retiring senior coach Paul Newman, for his commitment to the top level of football as a volunteer during the season.
In the football best and fairest counts Liam Dillon won the reserve grade best and fairest from Billy McLay, Under 18 captain Bohden Learmonth took the top title for his team and Lachlan Carver was the runaway winner of the Under 16 count.
In the netball Georgia Poole (B grade), Molly Carver (B Reserve), Abby Waasdorp (Under 17) and Ava Pell (Under 15) won the awards.
Voting details from the remaining grades were, B grade netball best and fairest: Georgia Poole 46, Monique Williams 37, Michaela Herbert 31, Alexandra Hall 22, Jayde Richardson 19, Catie Minger 18, Rachel McCormack 13, Sarah Carr 11.
Reserves football best and fairest: Liam Dillon 274, Billy Mclay 222, Nic Denahy 188, Liam Francis 168, Kaleb Williams 128, Noah Ryan 116.Jake Gascoyne was recognised as the best finals player and Scott Hearn will continue as coach next year.
B Reserve netball: 60 Molly Carver, 39 Courtney Mason, 19 Tess Laidlaw, 18 Tennille Peterson, 16 Tori Walsh.
Under 18 football: 328 Bohden Learmonth, 287 Angus Scoble, 267 Nic Jephson.
Under 16 football: Lachlan Carver 360, Cooper O’Neill 159, Hunter Fawcett 157, Charlie Isaac 151.
Under 17 netball: 68 Abby Waasdorp, equal runners-up Isla Carver and Natasha Dodos 54.
Under 15 netball: 81 Ava Pell, 51 Hannah Messenger, 16 Grace Kilpatrick.
