In what has become a competitive rivalry over the years, the A-graders took to the court against Rumba in a fiercely contested match on Saturday.
Despite their relentless effort, they fell short on the scoreboard, losing 42-72.
Ella’s consistent domination of the midcourt with continual pressure and precise feeds into the circle was pivotal before she was swung into the arc to provide another accurate shooting option.
Amelia Seignior’s persistent defensive work rate at WD anchored the defensive end and provided leadership, support and a consistent voice of encouragement for the defenders.
Kate McCalman stood out in the midcourt, showcasing her resilience, speed and efficiency with countless centre pass receptions and sharp feeds into the circle.
Despite the loss, the team’s continual determination was evident throughout the match.

B-grade: Deni Rams 62 def by Rumbalara 23.
B-grade came out hard and fast against Rumbalara this week.
There were new combos again in the circle, Amber Farley and Tess Parsons worked well with gun shooter Leah Blake.
Our midcourt was fierce, with the ball moving smoothly, opening up the court for multiple goaling opportunities.
Kate Westcott dominated all game and Macie Free put her body on the line multiple times.
The defence was seamless, keeping Rumbalara to 23 goals for the game.

C-grade: Deni Rams 48 def Rumbalara 35.
Our team has been doing so well over the last few weeks.
It’s been excellent to see how the girls have been playing with such composure, patience, and trust.
One of our star players, Mia Parks, had an incredible game this week, making some fantastic interceptions and feeding the goalers with precision.
Lucy Pitt has also been doing an awesome job in her new role at GD, with some spectacular drives through the mid-court and great teamwork with Katie Arandt.
And let’s not forget our amazing captain, Ellie Parks, who is always so reliable and consistent every week.
We had a really special moment together, too. Our teammate, Felicity Jefferies, played her 150th club game.

C-reserve: Deni Rams 30 def by Rumbalara 56.
The team had another consistent game this week, with both sides putting up a strong fight.
The players are really giving it their all on the court and putting in the effort during training, too.
I have a feeling that our next win is just around the corner.
We were thrilled to welcome Jane Hillier to the team this week, and her experience really shone through.
She was a fantastic support in both attack and defence.
Our captain, Lauren Ryan, is a true inspiration and continues to lead by example.
And let’s not forget about Chloe Barwick, who had her best game yet. It’s great to see our newcomers really stepping up to the plate.

Under-17s: No game - Rumbalara forfeit.
Under-15s: Deni Rams 40 drew Rumbalara 40.
The girls came out strongly in the first quarter with swift full court movement and easy transitioning into the attacking circle.
The second and third quarters proved a test for the girls, with few mistakes made by the away team, which allowed Rumbalara to take a strong lead into the last quarter.
In what was a thrilling last quarter, the Rams came out fighting, with a strong defensive presence and multiple turnovers by Hannah McBurnie, Ava Marshall and Bella Hillier, all performing beautifully in defence.
Clean movement and passing by our centre court players worked well to provide plenty of goaling opportunities for our shooters.
At the final whistle, scores were even, with accurate goaling by Phoebe Newman and Zoe Circuitt a highlight of the game.

Under-13s: Deni Rams 30 def Rumbalara 10.
From the first whistle, the girls displayed exceptional teamwork and determination.
Emma Wettenhall worked super hard all game, blocking her opponent and applying strong defensive pressure.
Olivia Jeffrey battled hard in the goal circle with impeccably timed leads and accurate shooting.
Vivienne Thomson fought hard, chasing down any loose ball and delivering some great passes to our shooters.

Under-11s: Not scored.
The under-11s again showed an amazing level of talent and tenacity on the court, as demonstrated by their excellent camaraderie and sportsmanship.
The opposition, Rumbalara, was short on players, so the girls took turns playing for the other side, making everyone on the sidelines extremely proud.
Charlotte Gatacre dominated in all positions she played and received the players’ player award due to her efforts.
Indi Hillier consistently played forward and fed the ball beautifully to help secure several goals.
The defence and attack side were relentless, and Stella Butcher controlled the play for much of the game with accurate passing and fantastic intercepts.
Overall, it was a lovely game by both sides that showcased why we play netball to have fun, make friends and be part of something bigger than ourselves.
