After wavering at the end of the regular season, Kyvalley Red redeemed itself on grand final day, claiming the Kyabram District Tennis Association section one championship over club rival Kyvalley Black.

Black claimed the last meeting by a game in the upset of the season, Red’s only defeat of the year, but the minor premier rebounded with force with the trophy on the line, cruising to the title 8-71 to 2-37.
After a valiant effort, Kyvalley Black finished runner-up in section one.

The opening men’s doubles saw Black take the early advantage, Jared Mioni and Brock Scott pairing for an 8-5 win, but Red seized control of the match from there.
Melissa Williams and Ella Forde opened its account in the women’s doubles, 8-2, while Jack Forde scored a 6-2 singles win.
Kyvalley Red’s Tilly Forde was named senior best-and-fairest.

Mioni earned the other singles for Black, but it was the last set his side would win on the day, as Red surged home to lift the trophy in a convincing display.
In the junior deciders, Kyvalley Red completed an unbeaten campaign in section two, getting the best of KLTC 6-44 to 2-28.
Kyvalley Red also grabbed the section two flag.

Red won three of the four singles contests, with Tilly Forde, Paige Berner and Byron Chapman each picking up victories.
In the doubles, Mackenzie Donaldson and Aiden Buntine grabbed one set for KLTC, but Red swept through the other three to take the title.
KLTC was runner-up in section two.

In section three, KLTC Black triumphed in the grand final, downing the combined Kyvalley/KLTC outfit 4-28 to 1-16.
Ruby Simpson stood out in the final, featuring in her side’s best two sets, a 6-1 win pairing with Tahlia Moss and a 6-0 singles victory.
Eva Alamaris and Ella Morris teamed to pick up Kyvalley/KLTC’s only set win 6-4, but Black prevailed confidently overall.
KLTC Black took out section three.

Tilly Forde from Kyvalley Red won the best-and-fairest player with 23 votes, closely followed by Dana Boyle from Girgarre on 20 votes in second place.
Third place was a tie between Kyvalley Red’s Melissa Williams and Kyvalley Black’s Fiona Owen on 15 votes.
