With nine required from the last over, the pressure got to SYCU and the final five balls saw two byes, a no ball, and a delivery that went for three wides and in the end, remaining batters Jack Young and Paul Wickham weren’t required to hit the winning run, the second bye sealing the game on the second last ball.
After a century wth the bat, Tate continued to shoulder the SYCU hopes in an ultmately losing effort, taking 3-42.

Undera’s tail managed to inch the Lions over the line by two wickets against Northerners.
Setting a target, Northerners’ opener Scott Thorn was the leading scorer with a quickfire 27, while Aiden Bollard supported from the middle order with 19 as their side was dismissed for 110.
Russell Sheriff, Ash Hockey and Joel Bunce all took three scalps for Undera.
A balanced chase from the Lions saw Bayden Bailey anchor the innings with a measured 29 from 74 deliveries, while another four of the top six reached double figures.
From 6-96, it was up to the lower order to accumulate the remaining 15, and a new to the crease Ryan Miller won the game simply by watching a wide sail past.
