Locke staged back-to-back one-shot wins in the first to 25 shot format at Hill Top Bowling Club at the weekend, first pipping Shepparton Park’s Shane Edwards in the semi-final before meeting weekend pennant teammate Seth Tziros in Sunday’s final.
After trailing by as much as eight shots and Tziros going on to hold a 24-20 advantage in the late stages, Locke tallied five shots to none in the final four ends of the game, including the match-clinching two on the 30th to claim the title 25-24.

Meanwhile, Reid and Tallygaroopna’s Carla Miles were the last ladies standing in the women’s singles knockout.
Reid’s semi-final win over Murchison’s Marion De Klijn saw her book a place in the final, while Miles’ 25-23 win against Shepparton Golf’s Lynn Hawkless saw the two converge in Sunday’s decider.
The pair went blow for blow in an entertaining final before Reid found clear air, claiming the sealing shot on the 29th end to win 25-22.
