A grade runner-up was Gary Stephens +2, B grade winner was Gary Rodda +1 on countback to Albert Liebenberg, and C grade winner was Jane Glowrey with +1 from runner-up Ian Campbell +2.
Last Thursday was a stroke event with two grades. A grade winner was Vicki Brunker scoring net 70 from runner-up Prue Lloyd 71, and B grade Jane Glowrey net 69 from runner-up Coral Maher 70.
There were three grades for Wednesday’s stableford event.
A grade winner was Peter Joice on 37 points from runner-up Gary Stephens 35, B grade David Maraldo with an impressive 40 points from runner-up David Connolly 37.
C grade’s Jane Glowrey capped off a big week with three victories when she scored 38 points, and with a repeat of Saturday’s result the runner-up was Ian Campbell on 37.
On Monday a contingent of Deniliquin golfers travelled to Shepparton for the Goulburn Valley Veteran Golfers Association fourball stableford event.
Best performed were Neil Boswell and Wayne Pitts who scored 41 points to finish runners-up, while Peter Oddy and Greg Collins featured in the ball comp.
Coming up we have a fourball best ball stableford event tomorrow, Tuesday will be ‘back 9’, Wednesday is stableford, Thursday is fourball best ball stableford and next Saturday is stroke and medal day.
In the clubhouse, tonight we have the ‘Friday Feast’ with a two course roast for $30. Bookings are essential on 5881 1325 or at the club.
Friday Night Fun also continues, with raffle tickets on sale from 6pm and draws at 7pm, and happy hour from 6pm.
