It was another masterful display of defending from Jason Morgan in Saturday’s clash.

History shows travelling to meet Euroa on its own dunghill can be fraught with danger, no matter what the teams’ ladder positions are.

So unbeaten Kyabram had to be satisfied and proud with what it did there on Saturday.
That was pummelling the Magpies to the tune of 96 points, 17.17 to 2.11, with a relentless running game in arguably one of its most impressive wins in its unbeaten streak, which it stretched to nine with the runaway win.
It was hard to digest that Euroa could manage only one goal in the first half, scored a minute or so before half-time, and only two majors for the game, with its second and only other goal coming midway through the final term.
This was a reflection on how well the Kyabram defence played.
Admittedly, Euroa missed many shots at goal, but nowhere near as many as the Bombers, who tallied 17 behinds for the game.
Jason Morgan and Brad Whitford were impassable early and backed to the hilt by Jake Parkinson, Cooper Vick, Jack Sheldon, Will Burnett and young talent Charlie Isaac, who was recalled for the game from the thirds.
Cooper Vick was among the best for his side during the Bombers’ win.

Parkinson had the job minding dangerous Euroa forward Jett Trotter, who never got into the game.
What else can you say about Morgan?
He continues to defy Father Time big time and he did it again on Saturday with a masterful display of defending.
Whitford wasn’t far behind him until he left the ground at half-time with a groin twinge.
But the Bombers won almost everywhere, with their talented engine room excelling again.
Ruckmen Zac Noris and Aidan Robinson were on top all game and on-ballers and midfielders Kaine Herbert, Josh Dillon, Jack Russell, Eamonn Ogden, Riley Ironside and Archie Watt made sure the Kyabram forwards got the chances to kick a winning score — and more.
Goals weren’t hard to come by either for the Bombers, who had 10 individual goal-kickers.
Moama recruit Russell showed the way with four majors and other multiple goal-kickers were Watt with three and Ironside with two.
Russell played arguably his best game since joining the Bombers and his tenacity and goal-kicking ability is another bonus.
Co-coach Corey Carver said there was a focus on keeping Euroa under physical pressure with committed tackling and that was probably the most satisfying aspect for him personally in the impressive display.
‘‘We put them under pressure for four quarters, which I was really happy about because it was one of our focuses going into the game,’’ Carver said.
The Bombers still have three or four senior players on the sidelines trying to get into this team, which will be difficult the way the side is performing.
But star on-baller Mick Mattingly will be a welcome return for this Saturday’s clash when the Bombers host Shepparton Swans before an expected big reunion crowd at Kyabram.
My best for Kyabram were: Jason Morgan, Josh Dillon, Kaine Herbert, Jack Russell, Jake Parkinson, Zac Norris, Aidan Robinson, Cooper Vick and Archie Watt.
• The unbeaten Kyabram reserves romped to another big win, disposing of Euroa by 124 points in a one-sided affair.
The Bombers set the mood early with a five-goal-to-one-point opening term, with the in-form Will Wild booting four goals before leaving the ground in the second term clutching a hamstring.
But the goals kept coming, with Noah Ryan prominent with three in his first game for the season.
With skipper Jayden Fitzgerald (three goals), Miller Griffiths, Sam Vick and Ben Railton snaring two majors each, the visitors kept Euroa under scoreboard pressure all game.
Big men Fitzgerald and Brendan Brasier were prime movers for the Bombers along with the consistent midfielder Cooper Fawcett and Sam Vick, while David Coulthard, Shaun Doolan and Riley Gallivan were also prominent in another good team effort.
The Bombers will have a much tougher challenge on their hands this Saturday against Shepparton Swans, who, like the Bombers, are unbeaten.
• Co-coach Peter Ryan was uneasy about the trip to Euroa with his thirds outfit — and that feeling was justified, with the home side scoring an upset win.
Sitting in eighth place on the ladder, Euroa knocked the young Bombers off the second rung with a hard-earned, but well-deserved 12-point win.
The home side had an aerial edge and had to fight back in the last term after the Bombers had got themselves back in the game in the third quarter after trailing at half-time.
The Bombers missed two of their prime movers in Charlie Isaac, promoted to the seniors, and Isaiah Scoble (injured), who may miss a few games.
For Kyabram, Oliver Barnett, Riley Carver, Josh Francis and Jack Donaldson tried hard, but didn’t get the support needed to bring off the win.
