After the second round, Steve O’Brien beat Steven King, while John Flisher did enough against Paul Snare.
Tim Dover advanced against Peter Chadderton and Andrew Holloway accounted for Tony Danckert.
Graham Nisbet got past Jamie Shields in a tight contest and Mark Tasker beat Keith Hay.
The final two matches for the round saw Shane Laing advance at the expense of David Hessel, and Lee Pattinson defeated Rob Morris.
That brought us to the last eight where Steve O’Brien beat John Flisher, Andrew Holloway got past Tim Dover and Mark Tasker and Shane Laing prevailed against Graham Nisbet and Lee Pattinson.
This means that the two semi finals to be played next Sunday will see club president Steve O’Brien up against first year bowler Andrew Holloway, and the unflappable Mark Tasker will be pitted against former president Shane Laing.

There were two two-game winners at the Deniliquin Bowling Club Clear Lifestyle Support Jackpot Bowls last Wednesday, with Alan Hardcastle and Ken ‘Titch’ Salter winning by one shot over Sue Atley and Simon Chisholm.
Simon then had an opportunity to make it a very memorable night when his name was plucked out of the hat to have a crack at the $1500 joker jackpot.
He missed the mark however, which means someone will have a chance at $1550 after play tomorrow night.
Names are to be in by 5pm for a 6pm start.
