Kyabram-trained trotter Malhana Muscles doesn’t win out of turn … and it was her turn again at the Shepparton meeting on Thursday.
Going into the meeting the seven-year-old daughter of Down Under Muscles had not saluted in her previous 20 starts for Kyabram trainer Paul Railton.
But after being around the mark in her previous three outings Malhana Muscles had been hinting a win wasn’t far away.
Despite being forced to face the breeze early before getting cover Malhana Muscles sprinted over her rivals in the concluding stages for an easy win.
Another Kyabram winner last week was the Mark Watson-prepared Half Price Bride who vindicated the trainer’s long trip to Leeton to salute.
Half Price Bride, who was a $2.50 favourite and driven by top Riverina reinsman Blake Jones, came from last over the final lap to record her second win from 15 starts.
