As part of the initiative, the club is seeking membership from past players or club-persons from its KDL era of 1995 to 2025.
A standard membership is $40 or $50 with the inclusion of a celebration cap, with the money raised going towards purchasing goal nets valued at $16,000.
The initiative was launched at the club’s final game of the home-and-away season, against Lancaster on Saturday, August 16 to celebrate the club’s run of football and netball titles from 1996 to 2018.
The club will send the digital publication to anyone who joins as a member during the months of August and September.
“The club was approached by Rohan Aldous who put forward the idea and it was seen as a fantastic way to reflect on the 30-year period that the club has been in the Kyabram District League,” Stanhope FNC past players' co-ordinator Troy Auld said.
“With the quality of the publication and the large amount of people that have been involved at the club during that 30-year period, we are also looking to put a fundraising spin on it as well.
“With the profits from the sales of the publication, we will put towards goal nets to make things a bit easier on training nights and game day.
“Whether you were a premiership hero or someone who just loved pulling on the jumper or dress each weekend, this publication is for you.”
Inside, readers will find grand final line-ups, match reports, and reflections from officials, premiership coaches and players including Gavan Poole, Mark Patten and Gavin Exell along with 27 interviews with club legends and officials.
Stanhope FNC president Graeme Nurse highlighted how the campaign was about more than nostalgia — it was about building for the future.
“Recognising our past is incredibly important to us. We’re hopeful this initiative will grow our past players membership and help fund long-awaited goal nets for Stanhope Recreation Reserve,” he said.
“We’ve tracked down some of our legends who haven’t been around for a while and shared their stories.
“But it’s not just about the stars — it’s about everyone who contributed to the club’s journey.”
