But even in his busy off-period, he still made time to stop and check in with the residents of Warramunda Village in Kyabram.
Tongala’s homegrown hero surprised residents at the village on Thursday, October 2, greeting residents and staff, stopping in for some photos and a chat.
A highlight was with resident Topsy Motton, who played piano for Reid and promised she would learn how to play the West Coast Eagles theme song by the time he returned.
Topsy Motton is the resident pianist at Warramunda Village and took some time out to teach Harley a thing or two.

Reid has family ties with Warramunda, with his great aunty Ann Kelly a beloved team member and his mum, Vanessa, and grandmother Mary both previously working at the village.
Warramunda chief executive John Clark said it was a credit to the Eagle that he took time out of his schedule to visit.
“We’re so grateful Harley took the time to visit,” he said.
“It meant the world to our residents and staff. He’s a wonderful role model and a proud product of Tongala.”
Before he left, Reid made a promise that he would return after a short holiday, and next time he’d sing the West Coast Eagles theme song with residents.
