The club has signed the talented duo Ryan Hudson and Rivva Karpany, who are bringing their talents to the Rovers for the 2025 Picola League season.
Hudson and Karpany will contribute the senior football league premiership experience it has been looking for.
Both played roles last year in Melbourne’s Northern Football League, as part of the Fitzroy Stars 2024 premiership side.
Hudson was also a member of Rumbalara’s 2014 Murray League senior football premiership winning side.
Both also have high-level football experience across their footballing careers.
Karpany played for Port Adelaide in the SANFL Reserves in the under-18s just over a decade ago, and for Coburg in the VFL before joining the Fitzroy Stars in 2018.
For the Stars he has featured in 56 games, kicking 55 goals and polling in the best-on-ground for the team on 24 occasions.
He has also played some games for Sunbury in the Ballarat Football Netball League.
Hudson played 178 games in the Murray League, kicking a combined 193 goals for Rumbalara and Moama.
He also has senior league experience from other parts of Australia, including in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Rovers spokesperson Josh Bode said the club is keen to warmly welcome both players.
“Both have had state league experience, premiership success and after playing the last few years in the Northern footy league, both are going to add a huge amount of value to the club,” he said.
“It is great to have them on board.
“They will add some strength and class to our young list.”
