This year, we launched the News’ GVL Player of the Month and Rising Star awards, handed out to the football and netball talents who stood above the rest for each month during the regular season.
The criteria for nominations were based on performance, with respective open-age Player of the Month and 21-and-under Rising Star nominees required to have played at least two games of senior football or A-grade netball throughout the period.
Now the season has finished, the victorious nominees from the four selected categories are in the running for a prize.
The victorious names plucked from the pot will receive a $50 Rebel Sports voucher, ready to be collected from the Shepparton News office (7940 Goulburn Valley Hwy) at their convenience.
