Rochy Tigers was the dominant division two under-14 team at the Greater Shepparton Basketball Association Tournament last weekend.

The Ellie Cuttriss-coached team beat Wodonga Wolves 35-31 in the grand final, having dominated the preliminary rounds through the exploits of Toby Phyland and Harvey Keating.
Phyland and Keating combined 30 points in a 51-3 win against Wangaratta in the semi-final, having beaten Benalla 57-8 in the fourth round.
In that Benalla win Asher Rasmussen (16 points) combined with the pair to score 48 of the team’s 57 points.
Rochester’s tournament winning under-14 team won 28-16 against Traralgon in the opening round, then beat Shepparton Gators 42-16 as Phyland hit a tournament high 21 points.
Rochy Tigers’ other under-14 team had one draw and a one-point loss in two of its four division three games.
In the draw with Euroa Archer Sinclair shot seven points and Corey Pangrazio four, while in the one-point loss to Deniliquin and loss to Echuca it was Liam McInness and Zachary Froon who performed best.
• At under-18 level the Rochester boys team was highly competitive, scoring a 48-point win against Echuca Pirates when the two Harrisons — Harrison Keating and Harrison Foster — combined for 41 points.
Keating (24) and Goster (17) were supported by Jordy Rasmussen (10 points) in the 68-20 win. In other games Rochester beat Mildura 48-16 and lost 21-27 in the remaining match

Rochester lost a thriller to Maryborough 57-58 when Foster (26) and Keating (13) had support from Ray Pearson in the one-point result.
• Rochester’s under-18 girls team picked up a one-point win against Wangaratta to highlight its tournament, Alannah Weeks’ game-high 16 points a feature of the victory.
She had support from Payton Tiller in that match and the pair, along with Miranda Crawford, were the pick of the Rochester squad for the four games.
Weeks scored 11 of 15, with support from Zahli Nicholas, in the opening round and in the remaining match Rochester lost 16-32 to Mansfield.
• A draw with Deniliquin for the under-16 girls came on the back of 12 points from Kasey Stone and nine from Marli Cottam.
Rochester started the tournament with a 10-point win against Echuca Pirates, then lost by 17 to Wangaratta, before suffering a 12-point defeat at the hand of Horsham.
• Rochy Tigers’ best result at under-16 boys level came against Mildura when Cale James scored 15 points in a 13-point loss.
On target: Harrison Foster at the free throw line. He and Harrison Keating dominated the under-18 competition.
Lincoln Dowdell worked hard in support of James in the match against Echuca Pirates, but the team was unable to register a win.
• At under-12 level the Rochester boys started with a one-shot loss to Wodonga, then registered wins against Maryborough and Deniliquin.
An 11-point win against Mildura included a 14-point haul for Cooper Rasmussen and six points from Archie Watson, but it was a six-point final round loss that knocked the team out of the title fight.
• Rochy’s girls team finished with two wins and two defeats in its tournament, the best results being nine-point wins against Shepparton Gators and Yarra-Mul Lakers.
Lottie Newth and Mila Cottam combined with Sienna Weeks to produce match-winning results in the two victories.
