Tongala closed on the top four with a high-scoring win over Rich River 14-77 to 2-42.
Stephen Hammond’s quartet cleaned up, the 32-9 margin in his rink a big contributor to the final margin, while Bradley Tinning was also victorious for Tonny, 27-13.
Tim Noar narrowly pulled one back for Rich River, 20-18, to earn two points, but it did little on the overall tally.
An intriguing top four now sees Echuca (84) within striking distance of a closely-packed next three, Moama (77), Stanhope (75) and Deniliquin (74).
Tongala (65) and Kyabram (63) lurk close behind.
