Pool, the division one star in the Goulburn Murray Lawn Tennis Association, was top seed in the singles, but lost a semi-final tie breaker to the evenutal champion of the tournament — Shepparton Lawn’s David Poole.
Pool had an opening round bye in the field of 14, winning his opening round in straight sets before losing the semi-final.
He and Isaac Watson lost the men’s doubles final 9-7, having won through their opening rounds 8-1 and 8-6.

Second-seeded David Starling lost the final of the 50+ men’s singles event to fourth seed John Brunner, but as top seed with Michael Smyth in men’s 50+ doubles won the inter-regional title on the back of the second seeds withdrawing before the final.
Starling and Leanne More were top seeds in the mixed 50+ event and secured another title for the Kyabram star with an 8-4 scoreline.
Brooke Starling, playing with Isabella Crossman in women’s open doubles, won their opening matches 6-4, 6-2 and 6-0. Starling was knocked out of the singles by top seed Niclle Mullen, having beaten Lisa Niglia from Stanhope in quarter final of women’s open singles 6-3, 6-1.
Kade Starling, second seed doubles in 12 under boys, lost 6-7 in tie break to third seeds in round two. Lost in quarter finals of singles to top seed Hudson Greene 2-6, 6-4 and 7-10 in tie breaker. Playing with sister Tayla in mixed 12 years doubles.
Tayla Starling lost quarter final of 12 years singles to fourth seed 2-6, 6-3 and 4-10 in tie breaker. Third seeds with Skylar Austin in girls doubles and made it to the final, while in mixed with brother Kade.
Deagan Tomkins won the 25 and Under singles title with a 6-2, 6-3 scoreline.
He and Josh Bavich lost their second-round doubles match as top seeds, 2-6 to the third-seeded pair.
Playing with Genevieve Bush, as top seeds, Tomkins won a second 25 and under title in the mixed doubles.
Genevieve Bush was second seed in Under-25 doubles with Taylah Pratt, losing in fourth round. She was top seed in 25 under singles, losing the final in a tie breaker to the second seed.
Phillipa Bush was top seed with Bella Merchant in girls 18 years doubles, second seed in girls singles, and was playing with Silas Kingma, as fourth seeds, in the mixed.
She won the singles 6-4, 6-3 and also the doubles, but lost in the quarter finals of the mixed.
Josh Bavich played with Taylah Pratt in the 25 under mixed doubles, quarter final of 25 under singles.
Fleur Nurse lost in round of 16 women’s 30-49 singles, then lost the doubles with Jodie Daniel to the second seeds 5-8. She played with Jarrod Bingham in the mixed.
Lisa Niglia played with Hope Curtis-McDonald in the women’s open doubles, losing to the top seeds 3-6.
Tenesha Nurse lost 1-6 to third seeds in girls under-18 doubles and lost in round of 16 2-6, 6-1 in singles. She played with Zach Ranson in mixed doubles.
Ashton Nurse lost in 12 years boys doubles to top seeds and in round of 16 in a tie-break result. He played with Madeline Wieland in mixed doubles.
