Satan, destined for death, lodges in the tree of knowledge with deception and voracity.
Disguised to deceive, he prepares a bait: just a bite for Eve, but she could no longer wait.
The foe's intent is to invite them to retreat and thus bring them to the edge of their defeat.
Success was granted, like a sugar-coated pill, and that would overcome any doubts or any ills.
The bite of the forbidden fruit brought their demise through twisted truths and lies. Satan, a power-hungry beast, tried to bring them to his feast.
The bite did not make the humans God, but filled them with shame, the loss of innocence and knowledge of sin led them to cover up and take the blame.
Death came subtly through the serpent’s bite, enticing a distortion of truth. A bite of darkness and separation; sin destroyed their eternal youth.
Bitten by the serpent, once the venom flowed through our veins, sealing our fate. Adam and Eve hid behind the bush and cried out, “Too late, too late.”
Death: inevitable and reeling, became a universal condition without any medicine for healing. The future was unsure, as animal sacrifices brought no cure.
God wanted death to be defeated, and Jesus became the sheep who interceded. The cross took the sin, death and shame; it set us free: once Jesus took the blame.
The Prince of Death, with his wit and loud roar, understood nothing of why the temple curtains tore.
Laughter finally led to a knot in his gut upon seeing the stone rolled away, which couldn’t be shut.
And now the blood of the righteous flows through our veins, and nothing of that old sin is able to remain.
O death! What a shame and an unblissful fate: the stone rolled over you and opened heaven’s gate.
The ancient foe lost power and never knew about his final hour.
The baton of death for the repentant is not passed to the next generation, but rather transformed into the gift of a new creation.
Death is passed over; the redeemed are delivered. When Jesus bled, the nail of death was hammered hard on the devil’s head.
The Lamb of God emerged with songs of redemption that were victorious, for He entered the realms of the dead without sin, spotless and glorious.
The tomb’s opening signified a resurrection, clearing any doubts about retrospection.
Resurrection stripped the power of the ‘Evil one’, thus bringing respite and reconciliation for everyone!
The stone rolled, and paradise is opened, now with the sting of death, nevermore.
The Lord is risen, He is risen indeed, to be with Him and with us forevermore, forevermore…. Amen.
Prayer: Lord Jesus! I am a sinner, and I know that you died for me. I confess my sins and receive you as my Saviour. I give you Lordship over everything in my life.
Maranatha, Jesus is coming soon!
