Lovely way to spend a day

A HEALTH and wellness event has raised more than $8000 for mental health workshops across Kyabram and Echuca-Moama.

The Art of Self Love: an Afternoon with Kim Morrison was held at Moama Bowling Club and provided guests the opportunity to learn about the importance of self-care and self-love.

Kyabram wellness advocate Liz Sefton from The Nourishing Home and Echuca Family Acupuncture’s Dr Suzy McCleary joined forces to bring the athlete and self-love expert to town.

‘‘Thanks to our generous sponsors and giving community the day was a huge success, shining light on mental health and suicide prevention,’’ Ms Sefton said.

‘‘The event raised over $8000 for the charity Love Me Love You, who will now be running much-needed mental health workshops in our local community.

‘‘We laughed, we cried but most of all we learned new ways to look at how we live in life, the way we live each day and staying true to ourselves.

‘‘When we come together as a community we can achieve great things.’’
