Machac is eyeing a second ATP title after upsetting American Tommy Paul 2-6 6-3 6-3 in Friday's semi-final in the South Australian capital.
The precociously talented 25-year-old has wins over Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic on his resume.
He claimed those big scalps in 2024, and last February downed highly rated Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina - the top seed in Adelaide - to win his first ATP title in Mexico.
The world No.35 will meet unseeded Frenchman Ugo Humbert, who got past Davidovich Fokina in a 6-3 5-7 7-6 (7-4) battle in Friday's second semi-final.
Machac says he's finally pain-free after overcoming a troublesome knee injury that stymied his output last year.
"The problem was that I had pain in the end of the year, I was struggling with my right knee a lot, like for two, three months," said Machac, the eighth seed in Adelaide.
"I couldn't play at 100 per cent ... then unfortunately, it came also to the pre-season.
"But now when I came to Australia without pain, I was very happy that I could be here.
"I was trying to play my game and this is something I tried to focus on, to just be myself on the court and be very grateful that I don't have any pain."
Machac fired eight aces against second-seeded Paul, who again fell short in Adelaide. He has made the semis three times and lost them all, in addition to losing three quarter-finals at the tournament.
Paul received some treatment for a back ailment ahead of the Australian Open starting on Sunday in Melbourne.
But Machac will enter the major with growing confidence, particularly if he can clinch the Adelaide title on Saturday.
"If you finish the tournament with a trophy in your hands, it's something different because it's not easy to win a tournament, especially with this competition," he said.
"The players are playing great and it's very difficult matches so, yeah, a final is always special."
