Campaspe Shire Council's community newsletter, Campaspe Times, is moving to a predominantly digital format, with the current edition marking the final issue to be delivered to households.
The transition will reduce printing and delivery costs, with savings redirected into community projects and services.
The digital format will continue to provide local news, community updates, and information about council services, projects and events.
Mayor Daniel Mackrell said the change would improve accessibility.
“Moving Campaspe Times online allows us to reduce costs and environmental impact, while making it even easier for residents to access important local information wherever they are,” he said.
From the spring issue in September, printed copies will remain available at customer service centres and selected outlets, aged care facilities and by mail on request.
Council is also introducing Campaspe Headlines, a fortnightly e-newsletter.
Residents can subscribe by visiting campaspe.vic.gov.au/newsletter, emailing shire@campaspe.vic.gov.au, or contacting a customer service centre.
