The meeting follows the town’s recent flash flooding event, which saw streets underwater and prompted 64 SES call-outs after 101.8mm of rain fell between 9am on Sunday, March 1, and 9am on Tuesday, March 3.
The meeting will be hosted by Kyabram Development Committee, in conjunction with Kyabram Residents and Ratepayers Action Group and Kyabram Chamber of Commerce.
Organisers are calling on all residents to join discussions about the event’s impacts and develop strategies to mitigate the impact of future flooding events.
The community meeting will take place at Kyabram Parkland Golf Club on Racecourse Rd at 7pm, with all residents welcome to attend.
