Crime is down in Cobram, but family violence rates continue to rise

Cobram, however, has seen a drop in criminal incidents from 588 in 2025 to 582 in 2026.

As has Strathmerton, with a drop from 34 in 2025 to 29 in 2026.

Comparatively, criminal incidents in Yarrawonga and Numurkah have risen, with 405 incidents in Yarrawonga this year compared to 368 last year and 366 in Numurkah compared to 329 the previous year.

While overall crime was down in Cobram, the town continues to see an increase in family violence incidents, which are up 9.8 per cent on the previous year.
