Shani Clark and Holly Butler celebrated 250 and 200 games with the club on Saturday.
Shani is currently playing her twelfth season for the Bombers having started with the club in 2003.
In that time she has won five premierships — two in A grade, two in under 17s and one in B reserve.
What Shani lacks in height she makes up for in grit and determination in her preferred position of WD.
‘‘It’s a good achievement and really special to be able to pay 250 games for the same club,’’ she said.
‘‘The club really is my second family. Being able to play with good friends and form special relationships with people along the way is amazing.’’
Shani said her career highlight was her first premiership win as a part of the A grade team in 2011.
‘‘I stepped up from B reserves in 2010 to A grade in 2011.
‘‘That win under coach Belinda Lees was the first of back to back premiership wins for us in 2011 and 2012. That was very special,’’ she said.
Holly joined the club in 2009 as a junior and has been a three-time premiership player — as well as a coach and board member.
She won her first A grade premiership in 2012 and continues to pull on the black and red each season as a much loved member of the club.
‘‘Ten years of playing for the Bombers has come around very quickly,’’ she said.
‘‘It was really nice to play alongside Shani over the weekend as she played her 250th game.
‘‘The A grade premiership, in my first year with that team, is definitely a highlight. The friendships I’ve gained and everyone I’ve met along the way, and the amazing coaches I’ve had, I’m very grateful for,’’ she added.
While that was good news for the pair Mooroopna still stormed past Kyabram in their round 11 clash at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve.
The Cats are entrenched in the top six, sitting 10 points clear of seventh-placed Rochester, while the loss leaves the Bombers in ninth position on the ladder, with just two wins and two draws from its 11 matches.
Kyabram put some pressure on the Cats’ defensive end in the first half, which brought opportunities for its shooters Elle Groves and Hollie Reid.
But the Cats were too strong across the mid court, pulling ahead to a 10-goal lead at the main break before powering ahead and scoring 27 goals in the second half to comfortably prevail 51-32.
