The opening of the long-awaited GV Link Enterprise Park was celebrated by representatives from businesses and Greater Shepparton City Council.

Stretching back to 2004, the dream of an industrial precinct in Mooroopna to bring in and support manufacturing in the Goulburn Valley has finally been achieved with the opening of stage one.

“Who would have thought that this would actually happen?” K&S Pallets managing director Victor Kyriakou said.
Sitting on 55ha, or around 28 MCG playing fields, the four-lot subdivision at 250 Toolamba Rd now contains utility connections to Mooroopna, including gas, sewerage, water and NBN.
The project was funded by $9.6 million from the Federal Government and $14.4 million from Greater Shepparton City Council.
The opening was held on Friday, August 28 with representatives from the construction contractor Regional BMD Urban, new tenants Flavour Makers and K&S Pallets and council.
Council chief executive Fiona Le Gassick said the project was “years in the making and will leave a lasting legacy for years to come”.
Regional BMD Urban operations manager Greg Stevens said the company was proud of exceeding its goal of 80 per cent local spending by an additional four per cent.
“We’re really happy about that,” Mr Stevens said.
Councillor Paul Wickham, who represents the ward the project is in, thanked contractors and everyone involved in delivering the project.
“This investment lays the foundation for future growth, employment and business development that will benefit our region for generations to come,” Cr Wickham said.
City of Greater Shepparton councillors voted to approve stage two at the August council meeting earlier in the week, which included $300,000 allocated to detailed designs for stage two.
The opening took place on site, with many people who had worked on the GV Link Enterprise Park in attendance.
