Vandals used marker pens to graffiti the tables and welcome book at the platorm last week, as well as drawing on the welcome sign less than 24 hours after it was put up.
They also tried breaking into the donations box with a screwdriver.
Kyabram Project Committee president Allan Weeks said it was bitterly disappointing to see the picnic area, which was only opened last month, already vandalised.
“They graffitied our welcome post, our welcome book and the top of the wooden table. It was done with Texta,” he said.
“They tried breaking into here (the donations box) . . . but they couldn't bust it out to get the lock off.
“There was only $1.75 in it anyway."
One of the ornamental crows was also ripped off a pole and stolen, which Mr Weeks said was something he had hand-crafted.
He replaced the sculpture early last week, and said the acts wouldn't deter him and the rest of the committee from putting up more artwork and benches.
“We will catch them on the camera, it's only a matter of time, we'll get them,” Mr Weeks said.
More benches are scheduled to be put in place in the future, as well as a replica of an 1887 train engine, and they will be under the watchful gaze of the two security cameras on the site.
Committee secretary Joy Salter said it was "so disappointing" to see the platform, which has largely been completed and funded by the committee, vandalised.
Kyabram police are reviewing the footage, and anyone with further information is encouraged to reach out.
