WHEN I GROW UP: St Augustine’s College

Stella Pegoraro: COFFEE VAN OPERATOR “I want to own a coffee van. I am not a coffee drinker, but Dad will drink it sometimes. It seems fun being able to make drinks for people and being able to travel around. I don’t know anyone that owns a coffee van, but I have seen them around and the people are always happy. I understand how important coffee is to some people.”
Jasmin Grima: VETERINARIAN “I want to be a vet. I have lots of animals at home and I love taking care of them. We prefer birds, ducks, peacocks and budgies, not so much dogs and cats. Maybe I could be a general vet. I don’t live on a farm, but we do go to the vet for the birds. We have visited the fauna park a lot and that inspires me to work with animals in some way.’’
Noah Phelan: ASTROPHYSICIST “I am going to be an astrophysicist (he then proceeded to spell it for me). I love stars and how they work. They help prevent supernovas and help discover new things about the universe. I would like to provide another home for humans. The skies of Venus are our best option so far. I don’t want to go up there, that’s what astronauts are for. I need my lab rats.’’
John Gallardo: SCIENTIST “I want to be a scientist. I am really interested in robotics, because I think there will be a lot of robots in the world in the future. I want to create robots that can help people. My dad is a farmer and my mum is at Woolworths. I don’t know what my sister wants to be, she says she wants to be a content creator and I really dont know what that is.’’
Dallas Gray: FITTER AND TURNER “I want to get a good trade in school and be a fitter and turner. That’s where Dad says the money is. I also want to start my own company, because Pop started Gray’s Transport and Dad still works for him. I want a job that pays good money and Dad suggested a fitter and turner.’’
Isla White: TEACHER “I want to be a teacher and then when I am a bit older get an agricultural degree so I can run a farm. I want to work in dairy farming eventually, it’s what all my uncles and my nan do. They live on dairy farms, but there are also a lot of teachers in my family. Four of my aunts are teachers and Nan was as well.’’
