Kyabram Recreation Reserve’s transformation into a modern, fit-for-purpose facility for the whole community is almost complete.

The works to bring the Wilf Cox Pavilion in line with modern accessibility requirements and create suitable change rooms for female athletes commenced in August last year.

Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said council was pleased with how the project was travelling.

“Works have progressed extremely well, and contractors are nearing completion on-site,” he said.

“The project is very close to complete, with council and contractors undertaking an assessment of minor defects, completion of minor fit and finish, and issue of occupation certificates.”

The project was slated to be completed this month, but the grand opening now looks likely to take place in October at the earliest.

“The project is in the final stages of delivery, with all key elements complete,” Cr Mackrell said.

“Final handover to council will take place in the coming weeks once all certificates and approvals have been acquired.”
