Two girls have been set upon by four times as many girls after getting off a school bus in Shepparton on Monday.
Police believe there was a verbal dispute on the bus at around 4pm on May 25.
It was reported to police that eight females followed the two girls as they got off a bus in Guthrie St, before assaulting them on Varcoe St in Shepparton’s south.
Video footage circulating on social media, which The News has viewed, filmed by one of the members of the group of eight attackers, some of whom are wearing Greater Shepparton Secondary College uniforms, confirms reports.
Police said the victims sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident.
