The charges follow an alleged carjacking in Doller Crt in Tatura just after 8.30am on Friday, September 25.
Police then pursued the stolen LandRover before it crashed near the intersection of Turnbull Rd and the Midland Hwy at Ardmona just after 9am.
Police charged a 21-year-old Shepparton man on Wednesday, September 30 with a raft of offences.
He was charged with aggravated carjacking, aggravated intentional exposure of police officer to risk by driving, burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle, dangerous driving while pursued by police, failing to stop on police direction, stating a false name to police when requested, and committing indictable offences while on bail.
He has been remanded to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on January 6.
A 17-year-old boy from Greater Shepparton is expected to be interviewed at a later date.
The 21-year-old driver had been flown to Melbourne’s The Alfred Hospital after the crash in a serious condition, with upper body injuries.
The passenger, a 17-year-old from Greater Shepparton, was taken to Goulburn Valley Health by ambulance in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries.
