KYABRAM Lawn Tennis Club has been forced to cancel its upcoming Easter tennis tournament due to the threat of the coronavirus.
In a Facebook post last week, the club said it was left heartbroken to have made the decision.
“It is with great sadness that we have made a decision to cancel our 2020 Easter Tournament,” the post said.
“With the unpredictable nature of this COVID-19 we have to consider the health of our players, spectators, volunteers, committee members and our overall community.
“Not only are we challenged with this virus but also with basic resources to run our tournament.
This decision is heartbreaking for our club, but we will bounce back from this.
“We will reimburse all current entries.
“We hope to see all of our amazing and resilient Easter players in 2021 and we hope you stay safe and look after each other in this time of need.”
