After a muted start from both teams, the Blues turned it on through the middle quarters, kicking eight goals to none over the second and third periods on their way to a 15.17 (107) to 3.5 (23) win.
The game began with the defences on top, both sides slotting one major in the opening term, but Tongala would begin the second on fire, kicking three within the first six minutes to open up the game.
The lead would balloon to 43 by half-time as Tonny found six in the period, while keeping the Rams to a single minor score, and would continue the run into the third with two more majors.
It took until nearly 22 minutes into the fourth for Deniliquin to kick its second major and the Rams would also find the last of the contest, but Tongala piled on six in the period to romp to the comfortable win.
Darcy Laffy led the way in front of the sticks, kicking five of his side’s majors, while Tristan Watson had three and Joe Guiney and Cameron Ilett two.
Ruck Jack Monigatti dominated the aerial duel, earning best-on honours for the Blues.
Tongala finds itself in fifth position on the table with three wins and two losses, also boasting the third-best percentage after some big results.
The Blues are set to be tested in their next encounter, facing reigning premier Cobram, fresh off a 146-point win over Moama.
