The Cats started red hot in the first term, nailing two early goals before a Cobram reply.
Two more goals for Finley gave us a handy buffer going into the quarter time break 19 point leaders.
Will Sexton played a very impressive game, featuring all over the ground and giving Cobram a few headaches. His brother Jack Sexton did the same.
An even second term with one goal each saw Finley hold a nice lead at the main break.
Defenders Jake Armer and Nik Burns proved tricky for Cobram as did Matt Whelan who had the job on their main goal kicker, keeping him goalless all game.
The third quarter saw a four goal to two Cobram fight back, with Finley holding on to a three point lead at the three quarter time break.
A move into the middle for Jordan Taylor was effective throughout the game, but in the end Cobram managed to scrape themselves over the line.

On Saturday, the twos lads came up against a very strong Cobram side and we unfortunately went down.
Cobram came out of the blocks on fire and ready to go, kicking four first quarter goals to Finley’s no score.
The rest of the game was a tight battle aside the last 10 minutes.
Finley’s best players were Nick Lunn and Jack Miley, who both were given jobs and both did a very good job.
Matt Jackson kicked the side's only two goals, while Marcus Anderson had a strong game in defence, along with Spencer Hawkins and Chris Wright having a fair crack in the midfield.

Thirds
With arguably the toughest assignment in the thirds' competition, the boys took on Cobram at Cobram eager to continue to show our improvement against the benchmark.
Pat Billings rucked all day and worked tirelessly with his tackling and pressure once the ball hit the ground. He also treated himself to our only goal for the match, which finished a great passage of play.
Blake Vidler, Tom White and Campbell Reynolds showed their passion and determination all game, continually working hard against a really well drilled side.
Thomas Marshall was swung into the backline and took some great overhead marks with what’s become a strong feature of his game.
Jackson Tooke took his limited opportunities at centre half forward and provided a strong target for his team.
Last game this week, and we look forward to finishing a challenging year on a high.

Fourths
What a win and what a performance to be proud of.
Taking on top of the ladder Cobram, the boys came ready to compete and produced one of their best team efforts of the season.
After a tough, scoreless first quarter, some incredible teamwork saw us kick our first goal in the second and take a 7-0 lead into half time.
Sam Hay, Jed Flanagan, Noah Brindley and Lachie Urquhart were huge through the midfield and around the contest, while Tommy Bain and Edgar Jangao brought great pressure and intensity.
Huddy Daniel was outstanding down back as our defence held Cobram goalless for the entire game.
With the game there to be won, the boys lifted again in the final quarter, kicking two goals to seal a brilliant team win.
There genuinely wasn’t a passenger out there.
Every player played their part, competed for each other and contributed to getting the win.
It was a true team performance and one we should all be incredibly proud of.
Hopefully, we can take that same intensity, pressure, teamwork and self belief into finals!
