Cobram gained the upper hand in the final quarter to score a narrow win over Finley in their A-grade netball clash on Saturday.
The Cats stayed with Cobram goal-for-goal right up until the final quarter.
There were many strong attacking passages of play, resulting in some great goals and showing the arduous work from training being put into action on court.
Defensively, the players worked hard to win back plenty of ball and create opportunities.

With a slow start against a strong Cobram side, Finley held their heads high and battled hard until the final whistle.
In the second half, the Cats found their groove, with good passages of play flowing through the whole court and resulting in some well-earned goals.

This was a tight contest from first whistle to the last, with the Cats fighting hard and holding their nerve to take out a much-needed win.

A much needed four points for the team and great to be able to celebrate Karen Donkin’s 600th senior game with a win.

A wonderful team effort up and down the court.
Defensive pressure was high, not allowing Cobram many opportunities, and mid court worked well together bringing the ball down to the shooters who had a successful day on the scoreboard.

A good team effort against an impressive opponent, with the girls maintaining their intensity, positivity, and enjoyment throughout the game.
The improvement since the last time the teams met was clear.
Sienna Keeley’s quick footwork and defensive pressure earned her plenty of intercepts and touches, while Chelsea Kennedy brought fantastic energy and intensity wherever she played.

It was a tough game this week against Cobram.
However, the girls took on the advice was given to them during the game and everyone got behind one and another showing encouragement and sportsmanship.

A great game by all nine players, with a high level of skill on display.
There was strong rebounding from the defenders, accurate shooting, and excellent ball movement from the midcourt players.
