Emma Quinn’s side suffered a 65-goal loss to Rochester in round one, being able to put a team out on the court for a game that almost didn’t occur, while the Swans were coming off a defeat to Mooroopna.
Kyabram was able to rotate through 11 players in the clash, two more than the Rochester match, as the Bombers continue to work through personnel challenges.
Given the circumstances, the side isn’t expected to challenge too many sides this season, and the Swans made a strong start at Princess Park, leading 23-8 at the end of the first period.
The hosts doubled down in the second, adding another 24 goals, Kyabram only mustering one in reply as the scoreline ballooned to 47-9 at half-time.
The Bombers were much more competitive in the second half, netting more than double their first half goals and slowing down the Swans, who still added another 28 to run out 75-22 winners.
Micaela Herbert was Ky’s top scorer with 10 goals, while the club named Jazmin Clark as its best on via its Facebook page, the off-season returnee continuing a good start to 2026 after netting 14 goals in round one.
Up next, Kyabram is on the road again to take on Tatura in a late Saturday afternoon start at Tatura Recreation Reserve, the action beginning at 4pm.
